Trash and restoring
Deleted files and folders sit in the trash for thirty days with a visible countdown — restore them from there, or let them go permanently.
Nothing you delete in the Library disappears straight away. It goes to the trash, where it stays for thirty days and can be put back.
What the trash shows
Each item lists what it was, when it was deleted, and how long it has left. Items close to the end are flagged as purging soon, so a countdown you have not noticed does not quietly expire.
Restoring
Restore puts an item back where it was — the same space, the same folder. If the folder it lived in was deleted too, restore the folder and its contents come back with it.
Deleting for good
You can empty an item from the trash yourself, and anything that reaches thirty days is removed automatically. After that it is gone: there is no second layer of recovery behind the trash.
What is not in here
The trash covers files and folders. Other things are retired differently:

Before deleting something the assistant made, check the details pane for the task it came from. Deleting the file does not delete the conversation that produced it — you can always ask for it again from there.
