Tasks

Connected apps

Connect Gmail, Slack, GitHub and others, switch them on for a task, and the assistant can work with your real data — as you, with your own access.

A connector lets the assistant reach a service you already use. Once Gmail is connected, “what did the supplier say about the delayed shipment?” is answered from your actual inbox rather than from what you remember of it.

Where it runs: in a task, for connectors switched on for that task.

What is available

ConnectorWhat it brings
GmailSearch the inbox and read full messages
SlackWork with your workspace’s channels and messages
GitHubRepositories, issues and code your account can reach
CanvaDesigns from your Canva account
ResendTransactional email sending
CustomAny tool server your workspace adds, exposed the same way

The catalogue grows; what you see in your workspace is what an admin has enabled.

Turning one on

Two steps, deliberately separate:

  1. An admin enables the integration for the workspace.
  2. You connect your own account under it.

Your connection is yours. Enabling Gmail for the workspace does not give anyone access to anyone else’s mailbox — every member connects their own, and the assistant acts with the access of the person whose account it is using.

Then switch the connector on for the task you want it in. Connectors are per task, not global, so a task about a client is not quietly rummaging through your calendar.

When it needs something it cannot reach

If a request genuinely needs a service that is not connected, the assistant shows a small card offering to connect it, with one line saying why — “I need Gmail to pull the invoices you mentioned” — then carries on with whatever it can do without it. It will not claim data from a connector that is not connected, and it will not show the card just to advertise integrations.

What is kept safe

  • Access tokens are encrypted before they are stored, and never sent to the browser.
  • Every connector action runs with your own permissions on that service — the assistant cannot see a channel you cannot see.
  • Connector activity shows up on the reply like any other tool use.
